Body Cameras

As of 2016 the Burlington County Sheriff's Office has implemented the use of Body Warn Camera (BWC). Sheriff's Officers wear the camera mounted in the chest region of their uniform to record interactions with the public, as per the New Jersey Attorney General's policy. The use of body worn video camera technology will improve public safety, enhance officer safety, assist with prosecution and case resolution, and further promote professionalism, integrity, and transparency.

For any questions regarding the department's implementation of body worn cameras please contact the Burlington County Sheriff's Office at (609) 265-5127. The following are photos to show where a BWC may be utilized by a Sheriff's Officer on their uniform.
