The Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, and Burlington County Master Gardeners are presenting the annual Gardening Expo on May 2nd.
The event will take place from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Community Agricultural Center located at 500 Centerton Road in Moorestown, and will feature educational workshops hosted by Rutgers Master Gardeners of Burlington County on topics such as:
- Growing Herbs at Home: 11 am
- Getting Your Garden Ready: 12 pm
- Integrated Pest Management: 1 pm
At 2 pm, there will be an opportunity for the audience to present questions to a panel of gardening experts.
There will also be kids’ activities, soil testing, and opportunities to “Ask the Expert” at various vendor locations.
Local growers will be selling vegetables, herb plants, flowering perennials, and shrubs. Neil’s Sharpening Service will be on hand to sharpen garden tools for a small fee, and the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Agency is offering free soil testing for the first 100 visitors.
