Frog walk

Tuesday, August 3, 2021

The Summer Frog Walk Series with Pinelands Preservation Alliance (PPA) and Burlington County Division of Parks concludes in the first week of August. Dr. Carlos Martínez Rivera, PPA’s Director of Conservation Science, will lead a walk into the nearby woods and wetlands.  You will learn about the Pinelands’ amphibians and why their presence is a sign of good habitat; how to identify frogs by their calls; and, what PPA is doing to help save these charismatic organisms. This is an outdoor program in the summer evenings, so expect hot weather, muddy trails, and mosquitoes. Bring a flashlight with batteries, rubber boots or shoes you don't mind getting dirty and insect repellent. Series continues on August 5. In order to accommodate the most guests, please choose from EITHER Tuesday August 3 OR Thursday August 5.   Maximum attendance limits are enforced.  Register online.
