Freeholder Deputy Director Balvir Singh announced that for the upcoming week there will be a variety of events taking place in Burlington County.
“Did you know that the County hosts an addiction support group meeting on the first and third Thursday of every month at the Community Agricultural Center?” said Freeholder Deputy Director Balvir Singh. “It is our hope that residents take advantage of this meeting along with family members that are looking to get their loved one help. It is so important that we continue to provide assistance and resources to residents seeking treatment or trying to overcome addiction.”

The Board of Chosen Freeholders is partnering with Ashley Addiction Treatment to host Addiction Support Group Meetings on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of every. The individual battling addiction isn’t the only one in need of healing. Parent & Family Connection is a safe, professionally-facilitated resource for family members and parents/guardians that have a child or loved one in recovery or actively using. It’s a place to share support, wisdom, and perspective to help cope with the collateral effects of addiction.

Author David Price will discuss his book “Rescuing the Revolution.” Mr. Price is a historical interpreter for the Friends of Washington Crossing Park and Princeton Battlefield Park on behalf of the Princeton Battlefield Society. He is a member of various national and local organizations relating to the Revolution. A graduate of Drew University, he holds an M.A. in political science from Rutgers University-New Brunswick, where he was an Eagleton Fellow. Don Stephens is what you might call a Figurative Expressive Artist. Earning his education through Tyler School of Arts, he is also in communicator in the US Marine Corps Reserve.
