Burlington
County announced today that resurfacing of a 1.8-mile portion of River Road
(County Road 652) in Washington Township, a 0.5-mile portion of River Road
(County Road 651) in Washington Township, and a 0.5-mile portion of Green
Bank-Batsto Road (County Road 563) in Washington Township is expected to begin
on Monday, June 29, 2020.
The project
involves pavement milling and overlay of River Road from County Road 542 to
Atlantic County Line (Mullica River) in Washington Township, River Road (County
Road 651) from County Road 542 to Green Bank-Batsto Road (County Road 563) in
Washington Township, and Green Bank-Batsto Road (County Road 563) from County
Road 542 to Atlantic County Line (Mullica River) in Washington Township. The
work is expected to take about two weeks to complete.
Traffic will
be maintained during milling and paving operation. Motorists using the roadway
may experience delay and are recommended to find alternative routes during the
work.
The work is
being done by Arawak Paving Co., Inc., Hammonton, New Jersey, as part of the
County’s 2018 State Funded Overlay Program. A total 22.3 miles of roadway in 3
municipalities are being resurfaced through shared State & County funding.
