Services
Applications for notary public commission may be obtained online or in the County
Clerk's Office or the County Corner in the Moorestown Mall. You must reside
or work in Burlington County. Applications must be sent to the applicant's legislator
along with the $25.00 application fee. Processing time is approximately 2-3 weeks.
When you receive your paperwork from the state you may bring your green certificate
to the County Clerk's office or County Corner in the Moorestown Mall to be sworn
in. You must do so within 90 days of the commission date on the certificate. The
fee to be sworn in is $15.00.
Once sworn in, you may obtain your stamp and seal at a stationary
store.

If you change your name or your address you must file a name
or address change form with both the state and the county that holds your commission.
Name changes require an additional $25.00 fee.

If you move outside Burlington County you must request a certificate of commission
from the county where you are registered as a notary. There is a $5.00 fee for this
request. The certificate must then be filed with the new county. There is a $15.00
fee to register the certificate of commission with the new county.
Burlington County contains all, or part of the 6th, 7th, 8th,
9th, or 12th legislature districts.
