Clean Communities

  1. Clean Communities Litter Cleanup @ Pennington Park & Newton's Landing Trail

    At Pennington Park and Newton's Landing Trail participants can enjoy nature in this 140 acre park and views of the Rancocas Creek while cleaning up litter from 9AM-Noon! Sign-in begins at 8:45AM! To register, email Please state if community service hours are needed when registering by 4PM on Friday, October 20th.

    Individuals, groups, and organizations are welcome.

    Volunteers should wear long sleeves, pants, socks, and sturdy shoes that can get muddy.

    Bags, gloves, and grabbers will be provided. Bring your reusable water bottle and fill it up with our water jug that is provided! Light refreshments will be provided at this event also.

    *Please note that litter grabbers are limited and it is possible they may run out*

    Severe weather cancels the event.

    Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and parent/guardian signed waivers are required for all participants under age

    Mary Carty and Steve Carty, mother and son, are exhibiting baskets from their collection that the public rarely gets to see. From unusual baskets they created based on antiques in their collection to traditional baskets woven from unique fibers, the display is captivating. The exhibit will also include native British Colombian baskets circa 1890 and baskets from the next generation of their extended family.
