Using yoga to attain well-being through a series of exercises is growing in popularity. Join Christine Black, a Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor, for an early evening introduction. We will set up inside the Visitor Center and transition to the front lawn to enjoy the fresh outdoors as the season progresses. Cost: RNC members, $10/per person; non-members, $12/per person. Take a walk with Naturalist Kate to see the beaver lodge on the Rancocas Creek and possibly see the beavers when they are most active at dusk. Learn about the lives of a beaver family in winter and how their behaviors differ from other seasons. Meet in the parking lot adjacent to Carlucci’s restaurant.

The Underground Railroad Museum of Burlington County presents this exhibit of African-American images in the visual arts of the 20th and 21st centuries. There is an Art Reception to meet the artists on Saturday, February 3 from 1 – 3pm. Gallery hours are Thursday – Saturday from 10 AM – 4 PM and Sunday from noon – 4 PM.

The 2017-18 State Teen Arts Touring Visual Art Exhibit features the nominated paintings, drawings and photographs created by the most dedicated arts students across the state. The students’ Home Counties nominated 20 pieces of student art work to be showcased for display at the 2017 New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival this past May and June.

The Burlington County Parks System offers story time geared for children ages 2-5 years old, two times per week. Children will enjoy hearing 3 short stories read aloud, separated by 3 songs that children play along to with rhythm instruments. Each session also includes an age-appropriate craft. Tuesdays at the Rancocas Nature Center and Thursdays at the Worker’s House Gallery at Smithville.
