As a medium, glass is a diverse material that allows the artist great flexibility in expression. Glass is also still a relatively unexplored frontier for artists. It’s characteristics present hurdles for one’s creative mind, but once understood, glass delivers a vision unlike any other material available to us. With examples of stained glass panels executed in both lead came and copper foil method. Together with mosaics made from glass and kiln formed examples of art glass on display, the gallery is full of works showing the diversity of this amazing material. Enjoy a gentle yoga hike with instructor Christine Black, a Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor, Bring your yoga mat and enjoy a peaceful yoga session out in the woods and meadows surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. The group will meet in the RNC parking lot to learn about native plants and work on our projects at the nature center. We will be working on plant profiles and signage as well as sometimes adding new plant friends to our garden plots. Come with garden gloves. Cold beverages & snacks provided. The group meets monthly, with sessions at the center and off-site, depending on the project and topic. NPSNJ also runs annual informative workshops in the spring and fall. The Fabulous Greaseband is a seven member "Best of the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's Rock 'n' Roll Party Band." Their highly entertaining and energetic delivery of the greatest dance songs ever written has kept the group on top for the last forty years!
