The most anticipated art show of the year welcomes a plethora of outstanding artists that are featured at the Annex Gallery throughout the fall. Typically, this exhibit is very competitive and draws thousands of visitors. This year, due to COVID-19 closures, the show will be displayed in the gallery and online.

Presented by Park Naturalist Jennifer Bulava. In this new PowerPoint presentation, learn about some of the invasive species of insects that have made their way to NJ, how to recognize them, how they got here, and what we can do to help diminish their spread. Spotted lanternfly, emerald ash borer, Japanese beetle, Hemlock wooly adelgid, gypsy moth, and brown marmorated stink bug will be highlighted. This video will be available beginning September 29 on our website. After viewing the video on your own time, join us live on Zoom for Questions and Answers sessions on September 30 at 2:30pm or October 8 at 7:30pm.

Jonny Buss, a handyman with the Burlington County Parks, creates abstract compositions through the use of digital data corruption, photocopy wheat paste and acrylic stenciling techniques. The aesthetic of his artwork is a commentary about the relationship between data, technology and contemporary society. Abstract Sound installations will accompany the visual art through the duration of the exhibit. Preview is available on the Burlington County Arts Facebook page.

Experience a virtual guided geology tour of the historic buildings found along Main Street in Mount Holly! Presented by Pierre Lacombe, retired USGS geologist. Pierre will discuss the local rock used to construct the Historic Prison Museum and other early buildings of Mount Holly, as well as the bricks and other local building materials. Learn why there is a Mount in Mount Holly and lots of other interesting geologic facts pertaining to this area. This video will be available on our Programs and Events webpage beginning October 26.

As we wrap up the last month of the Burlington County Farmers Market, join us as we celebrate October and local fall produce. Apples are in, along with pumpkins and all varieties of squash, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, carrots, potatoes, lettuces and so much more. Artisan cheeses, fresh eggs, local honey, microgreens and mushrooms are always in season, along with local lamb, beef and pork. And don't forget about the garden!
