Participants can customize the flavor of this versatile yet easy-to-make jelly by using different herb and tea combinations. Herb jelly is a tasty companion to cheese and crackers, and makes a delicious glaze for roast and grilled meat. Tea jellies are a delicate and flavorful spread for muffins and scones as well as being a surprisingly tasty glaze for meats and cheeses. Danielle Brenner will be teaching the water bath method of preserving and each participant will take home a jar of their creation!

Visit Historic Smithville Park to see works by the talented teens of Burlington County. Schools throughout the region came together for the Burlington County Teen Arts Festival in early March and will be represented in the exhibit. Artwork was selected by county adjudicators to be displayed in the exhibit and many will move on to the state competition. This will be a great opportunity for students, families and the community to see the artwork in a gallery setting. Gallery hours: Thursday-Saturday 10-4; Sunday 12-4. Reception: April 25 1-3 PM.
Due to COVID 19, galleries remain closed, but the exhibit's artwork can be viewed here: https://view.publitas.com/p222-7429/teen-arts-2020-1/

Robert has been interested in the way strong light defines spaces by producing dramatic shadows and highlights can also help to create atmospheres. He has been experimenting with that idea using street musicians he sees in center city Philadelphia and people in outdoor restaurants. The strong light helps to influence the narrative behind the figures. The subjects are representational – ranging from landscapes — which are both studio and plein aire — to figurative studies of people within environments in the city of Philadelphia. The landscapes are views from where he lives, which is along the Delaware River in Southern New Jersey. Robert’s paintings are small to mid-sized oil paintings. The paintings are executed on canvas, linen, and museum board using brushes and palette knives.
