Species Spotlight: Wood Duck

Learn about various species that call Burlington County Parks home! Every other Wednesday, Naturalist Kate will post a new video on our Nature Programs Page and on YouTube that highlights a local species to better understand their behaviors, natural history and/or significance in the environment.

Winter Art Exhibit

Winter Art Exhibit that will complement the Friends of the Mansion at Smithville’s holiday decorations within the Annex Gallery. Submissions convey a winter or holiday theme, and include collages, paintings, drawings, mixed media, photography, and digital media.

Holiday Family Tours of Historic Smithville

Celebrate the holidays with your family at Historic Smithville. Stroll through the illuminated village, view holiday scenes, and enjoy a story, hot chocolate, and cookies with Mrs. Claus. Along the way, you will meet guides in period costumes to share the story of HB and Agnes Smith and the village they created. Be sure to stop by the Visitor Center, where each child will receive a craft to take home. And don't forget to bring your letters for Santa!

Friday Forum

A series of nature walks led by Naturalist Jen Bulava on select Tuesdays and Fridays. This is a repeat of the Tuesday December 7 program. December is a great time to look for water birds that migrate from northern breeding grounds to New Jersey waters for the winter. Join Jen for a walk between the two lakes to see how many of these migratory species we can find. Maximum attendance limits are enforced.
