This could also include one glass of 100% fruit or vegetable juice.
Protein
Your body needs protein for energy and building and repairing. Protein-rich foods have essential minerals, such as iron, magnesium, zinc, and B vitamins. Proteins should make up about 20 to 25 percent of our nutritional intake. Some examples of protein are meat, poultry, fish, eggs, beans, nuts, and soya which includes tofu. Those who do not eat any foods from animal sources, may get their protein from nuts, seeds, soy, and beans.
