The Burlington County Office of Emergency Management strives to provide our residents, visitors, and individuals participating in water recreation activities, with the knowledge and ability to assist law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel. Anyone can assist by identifying observed criminals or terrorist behaviors, and alerting law enforcement. Public, private, and corporate waterfront communities all serve an integral role in increasing the safety and security of our waterways.

Terrorist or Criminal Behavior
In today’s world, the ability to report criminal behavior and terrorist activity is the responsibility of every citizen. Making the proper notification in a timely manner will increase the ability for law enforcement to intervene.
DO NOT personally intervene; let those in law enforcement do their job, with your help.
Some Indicators of Possible Terrorist or Criminal Behavior:
If you identify or observe suspicious activity or behavior you think may be related to terrorism, you can easily contact 911 or call 866-4-SAFE-NJ (866-472-3365) to report the activity.
