Fall is a great time to get motivated with the Burlington County Parks - Lunchtime Walks. Lunchtime walks are an excellent opportunity to exercise, explore nature, meet new friends, and get to know parks in your backyard. Walking has so many health benefits; come out a join this healthy one-hour lunchtime walk at Smithville Park. We will meet outside the Visitors Center and leave at noon. Make sure to wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes, bring some water and let's get moving! The route is approximately 2.5 miles with some elevation and stairs. Feel free to walk at your own pace.

  2. Intro to Improv

Improv continues to be one of the fastest growing performing arts in the US. It’s in movies, TV shows, Broadway, and now right here in Burlington! ComedySportz, the longest-running show in Philadelphia history, is bringing its Intro to Improv Workshop this summer to Burlington County Parks. This workshop is a great way for individuals to find their creative side, regardless of their performing experience. One of our experienced instructors will teach the students the basics of improv and how to play some of our favorite ComedySportz games. We'll teach you the basics: agreement (“yes, and-ing”), active listening, commitment, working as a team, taking risks, and being present in the moment, and then apply those skills to some of our favorite games like Try That On For Size, Dr. Know It All, and Advice Panel. You'll learn how to improvise in an inclusive and welcoming environment, and have lots of fun doing it. No two classes will ever be the same!
