New Jersey State Plan Update
The State Planning Commission (SPC) released the Preliminary Draft of the New Jersey State Development and Redevelopment Plan on December, 4 2024. The counties, municipalities, State agencies, and the general public all play integral roles in this process. Burlington County will work with its municipalities during the cross-acceptance process to finalize the State Plan. Cross-Acceptance is a process of comparing statewide planning policies at government levels to attain a high level of consistency among municipal plans and the State Plan. As a part of this process, municipalities have an opportunity to provide feedback on the State Plan, which has not been updated in over 20 years.
