Three Ways to Vote

All registered voters in New Jersey may either vote by mail, vote early and in person at a county early voting site, or your polling place on election day. This page is intended to be a central source for all three voting methods in New Jersey, along with information about registering to vote, military and overseas voters, and student voters. If you have a question or issue not answered on this page, please contact the Burlington County Election Offices at (609) 265-VOTE (8683).

Registered voters can vote in person at their polling place from 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Election Day.

Use the Polling Place Search Tool to find your polling location.

Polling locations are also printed on Sample Ballots. Sample ballots are now printed with a barcode that can be scanned for easy check-in at your polling place.

Note: Vote-by-mail ballots cannot be returned to an early voting or Election Day polling location.

Voter Rights and Accessibility Information

Go to https://www.nj.gov/state/elections/voter-rights.shtml to learn more about voting rights restoration, voter accessibility, disability etiquette, and other relevant information about your rights as a voter.

Translated Ballots

Ballots are translated according to N.J.S.A. 19:49-4, certain municipalities and districts have their ballots translated. In Burlington County, a translated ballot will either be English-Spanish or English-Gujarati.

Voter Assistance at the Polls

Any voter who needs assistance to vote because of blindness, disability, or inability to read or write may be assisted by a person of the voter's choice other than the voter's employer or an agent of that employer or the voter's union.

Members of the polling location's district board, each representing one of the two major political parties, may also jointly assist voters.

Student Voting

If you are in college, you can register to vote from your college address or your parents. There are good reasons for registering and voting at either residence, but keep in mind that the final choice is yours.

The deadline to register to vote in New Jersey is 21 days before an election.

Students who are registered to vote in New Jersey but live or attend school out-of-state should apply to vote by mail unless they plan on being home to vote on election day or during the early voting period.

The New Voter Empowerment Act, signed into law by former Governor Murphy in 2024, permits 17-year-olds to vote in state primary elections, provided that they will turn 18 before the November general elections.
