The Burlington County Department of Resource Conservation is hosting a public information session on the feasibility of constructing a replacement bridge across the Rancocas Creek at Centerton Road.
Burlington County was awarded a Transportation and Community Development Initiative (TCDI) grant to study the feasibility of replacing the bridge. New data developed as part of study will augment the 2018 study conducted by Maser Consulting on behalf of the County Engineer which looked at the feasibility of replacing the Centerton Road Bridge.
The current feasibility study will examine design issues, including environmental permitting, cultural resources, and engineering. Based on investigations to date and prior public comments provided at public information session #1, our team is preparing preliminary concepts and alternatives for public consideration. This information will be posted on or about May 14th to the County’s website for public review and comment. Comments and questions to be addressed at the 2nd public information session can be emailed by 5pm, Wednesday, May 20, 2020 to: conservation@co.burlington.nj.us
At the 2nd public information session, County staff and consultant representatives will review the feasibility study work to date and the conceptual alternatives developed. Responses to questions and comments received will be addressed. Public participants will have the opportunity to ask follow up questions during the session.
At the end of the project, a feasibility study report will be presented to the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders to inform the decision matrix involving the replacement of the Centerton Road Bridge.
Residents who wish to learn more about the project or offer comment are encouraged to participate in the virtual session starting at 7 p.m. on March 21, 2020.
