The winter weather may be turning frigid, but local foodies have plenty to be excited about this season with the return of Burlington County Winter Restaurant Week!
The winter celebration of Burlington County’s best restaurants, taverns and eateries is scheduled for March 3-9 and will once again showcase some of the region’s best food, drinks, deserts and appetizers.
Burlington County breweries, distilleries, wineries and food trucks are also invited to participate.
The weeklong event is sponsored by the Burlington County Commissioners, State Senator Troy Singleton and the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce. Throughout the week, they will highlight participating businesses by making visits and posting spotlights about them on social media.
Participating restaurants and eateries are also encouraged to create special menus, dishes or discounts to offer customers, which the County will promote.
“Burlington County has hundreds of places to find a delicious meal and Restaurant Week is a way for us to celebrate and promote them,” said Burington County Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson. “More than 125 establishments participated in our Restaurant Week last summer, including at least one from each of Burlington County’s 40 towns. We’re aiming to achieve the same kind of participation and success with the upcoming Winter Restaurant Week, so we’re reminding restaurants to sign up now so we can begin promoting their participation.”
“Our local restaurants and breweries create jobs, inject money into our local economies and bring visitors to our downtowns and business districts,” added Senator Singleton. “Burlington County Winter Restaurant Week is another opportunity for us to showcase the many wonderful spots we have in Burlington County and give them a much-deserved boost in business. Our collective support not only helps these businesses and employees, it also helps ensure our communities remain vibrant and strong so make your reservations today!”
Restaurants can sign up for the Winter Restaurant Week by completing a short online form available at https://burlingtoncountynj.formstack.com/forms/burlco_winter_restaurant_week2024 . There is no charge to participate and restaurants are not required to create specials or discounts, but they are encouraged to do so.
Burlington County Restaurant Week was first created in 2019 as an economic development initiative to showcase restaurants and their importance to local communities. It quickly grew to become one of the County’s biggest and most popular business initiatives.
Due to its popularity, the event was expanded to twice a year with winter and summer versions. More than 60 restaurants participated in the inaugural Winter Restaurant Week in 2023.
“Restaurants, pubs, and other eateries are some of the most important businesses in any community and Burlington County is lucky to have such a robust and diverse list of establishments to choose from,” said Kristi Howell, president and CEO of the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Winter Restaurant Week is the perfect time for friends and families to dine out at a new place or at a longtime favorites, so mark your calendars and reserve some time for some great food and fun.”
