New Jersey’s favorite farmers market is ending this year’s amazing season in record-breaking fashion with its final two market days of 2024.
The Burlington County Farmers Market will celebrate the farmers, food vendors and artists that make the market so successful this Saturday, Nov. 23, during the end of the regular season Pre-Thanksgiving Market. Shop from more than 70 farms, vendors and artists from 8:30 AM to 1 PM at the Burlington County Agricultural Center, 500 Centerton Road, Moorestown.
The farmers market will take Nov. 30 off but return on Dec. 7 for a special Holiday Farmers Market from 10 AM to 2 PM. During the grand finale of the season, the market will feature additional vendors so shoppers can pick up everything needed for upcoming holiday gatherings and festivities. It’s traditionally one of the biggest market days of the year!
“The 2024 season at the Burlington County Farmers Market will be one we will long remember. Not only was the market crowned No. 1 in New Jersey by the American Farmland Trust this year, but it also attracted phenomenal support from shoppers from across Burlington County and the entire region,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson. “We want to finish the season strong with our final two market days, so plan to visit the Burlington County Agriculture Center this weekend and Dec. 7 for all your Thanksgiving and holiday shopping.”
This Saturday’s Pre-Thanksgiving market will feature some of the most popular vendors, including local farms selling Jersey Fresh produce, meats, honey, flowers, wreaths, and other products, plus numerous food vendors cooking up some of their best sandwiches, sauces, sides, spirits and other culinary treats.
Shoppers will find more than two dozen artists and crafters selling various handmade creations.
This Saturday will also feature a special Thanksgiving cooking demonstration at 10 AM and live music from Oliver Dagum.
“Whether you’re shopping for delicious foods for Thanksgiving or getting a jump on holiday gift buying, the Burlington County Farmers Market has everything you need in a single location,” said Commissioner Allison Eckel, the liaison to the Department of Resource Conservation and Parks. “Shoppers will find a wide variety of foods and goods, and buying from the market vendors helps support our local farms and small businesses.”
Now in its 18th season, the Burlington County Farmers Markert is held rain or shine each Saturday in the spring, summer and fall seasons. This year the market also introduced several preseason market days during March and April.
The market is credited with helping numerous local farms and small businesses sell their products, and it was voted the No. 1 farmers market in New Jersey and the No. 3 in the entire Northeast during this year’s America’s Farmers Market Celebration, an online contest run by the American Farmland Trust.
The farmers market is held at the Agricultural Center, a 68-acre former dairy farm situated on the Moorestown-Mount Laurel border. The property was preserved by the County in 2005 and remade into a community park and education center focused on food production, health, nutrition, agriculture and land stewardship. A portion of the property continues to be leased for farming and the site also features community gardens, demonstration fields maintained by the Rutgers Cooperative Extension and a commercial kitchen that hosts cooking classes for all ages and abilities.

There are just two markets left this year, so we encourage residents to visit and stock up for the holidays and new year.”
