The Health Department is seeking a Management Specialist to oversee operations at the Burlington County Animal Shelter.
The Management Specialist reports directly to the Health Department Director/ Health Officer and must possess the necessary leadership and business skills to deal with contracted veterinarian services, volunteers, animal rescue organizations, shelter staff and the public. Business experience is a must. The successful candidate is responsible for implementing and achieving the organization's defined mission, capital and operating budgets, outreach, growth strategy and providing effective leadership and stewardship of all of its stakeholders.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree. Two (2) years of experience in the review, analysis, and evaluation of budget, organization, and administrative practices and recommending improved methods, and/or administrative experience in varied phases of business, industrial, or government involving the organization, direction, planning, coordination, or control of programs or activities.
Starting salary is $65,000.
