County Seal

Freeholder Director Kate Gibbs announced today that the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the County Veterans Services Office will hold its 10th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Wednesday, May 30 at 11:30 a.m. Once again, the ceremony will be held at Veterans Memorial Park, adjacent to the Burlington Township municipal complex on Old York Road.

“Hosting the county’s Memorial Day ceremony is one small, but important way our community can take time to reflect on all the men and women of the armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and defending our country,” said Freeholder Director Gibbs.

Freeholder Director Gibbs and Walt Tafe, Director of the County Veterans Services Office, will offer remarks honoring all of the armed services personnel who sacrificed their lives for our nation.

The ceremony also will include a presentation of wreaths to honor those who have fallen. If your organization would like to present a wreath during the ceremony and for additional information, please contact the Veterans Service Office at (609) 265-5008.
